Heavy industrial goods lift of 5,000 kg for Märkisches Werk
For Märkisches Werk, a production company in the metal industry, Hublift built a 5,000 kg hydraulic goods lift. The lift transports crates and pallets with heavy steel components between the basement and the ground floor.

01 · IN BRIEF
Project at a glance
What was built, where, and why, all in one place.
Client
Märkisches Werk, a production company in the metal industry.
Lift type
Heavy hydraulic goods lift with double lifting column.
Load
Crates and pallets with heavy steel components, and even aerial work platforms.
Situation
A new storage location, linked to the existing building, with a height difference.
Doors
Full-swing steel doors and gates on the platform.
Safety
Hydraulic locking pins and sensors on doors and gates.
02 · THE CHALLENGE
Heavy steel components across a height difference
Moving heavy materials was a major challenge. Märkisches Werk built a new storage location, linked to the existing building. Due to the height difference, goods must now be moved between floors.
The lift had to fit in the only available spot in the building. The maximum clearance height on the floor also had to be taken into account.
Client requirements
- Lifting capacity of 5,000 kg
- Loading and unloading with a forklift
- Fitting into the only available space
- Taking clearance height into account
- Safe to operate without a special course
03 · THE SOLUTION
A 5,000 kg goods lift, custom-designed
Together with the customer, Hublift designed a 5,000 kg hydraulic goods lift with a platform of 2,000 × 3,500 mm and a lifting height of 4,210 mm.
An extra reinforced platform and a double lifting column ensure stability. In the basement, the platform sits flush with the floor, allowing a forklift to drive straight onto it.

2,000 × 3,500
Platform (mm)
Spacious enough to drive in with a forklift.
4,210 mm
Lifting height
Bridging the height difference between old and new.
2 columns
Double lifting column
Stable during every trip.
Pins
Hydraulic locking
The platform is locked in place during loading and unloading.
Windows
In the steel doors
Always see where the lift is.

04 · SAFE TO USE
Doors closed, then move
The lift only moves when all doors and gates are closed. Sensors monitor this continuously. The gates on the platform keep the load in place so that nothing shifts or rolls.
With the push of a button, the load goes to the correct floor. After a short instruction, anyone can operate the lift.

The goods lift in the factory

Heavy load
Even aerial work platforms can be transported. With a 5,000 kg lifting capacity, there are few limitations.

Full-swing doors
Doors and gates open fully. This way, the full width of the platform is usable.

Reinforced platform
The platform is extra reinforced so that it can be loaded and unloaded with a forklift.

Windows in the doors
Even with the doors closed, employees can see where the lift is and if it is occupied.

Integrated into the building
The lift is located in the only available spot. Our engineers created a fitting design for it.

One-button operation
After a short instruction, anyone can operate the lift. A course like the one for a forklift is not necessary.
06 · THE RESULT
Heavy loads safely to the floor
Employees now move heavy steel components safely and quickly between floors. After a short instruction, anyone can work with the lift.
- No forklift course required
- Full platform width usable
- The lift only moves with closed doors and gates
- The platform is locked in place during loading and unloading

Questions about this goods lift
How heavy can an industrial goods lift be?
Hublift builds goods lifts from 500 to 10,000 kg. This lift has a lifting capacity of 5,000 kg, enough for crates with steel components and even aerial work platforms.
Can a forklift drive into the goods lift?
Yes. The platform is extra reinforced. In the basement, it sits flush with the floor, so a forklift can drive right onto it.
Do you need a course to operate the lift?
No. After a short instruction, anyone can operate the lift with the push of a button. This is different from a forklift.
What happens if a door is open?
Then the lift will not move. Sensors monitor the doors and gates continuously.
Does the platform remain stationary during loading?
Yes. On the floor, hydraulic locking pins secure the platform. It does not move during loading and unloading.
What does a heavy goods lift cost?
Hublift supplies custom goods lifts starting from €25,000, including engineering, installation by our own technicians, and a 24-month warranty. The price depends on the lifting capacity, the number of stops, and the building situation. See also goods lift prices.
Heavy loads between floors?
Hublift designs goods lifts up to 10,000 kg, tailored to your building and your load. Tell us what needs to go up, and we will provide advice without obligation.
