02 · THE CHALLENGE
A lift that tenants can use safely on their own
Self-storage tenants come whenever it suits them. The lift must therefore operate without supervision, but only for the right people.
Hublift designed the lift together with the architect. During the preliminary phase, the needs and requirements of the users were carefully considered.

03 · THE SOLUTION
Positioned between the units, with stairs and bridge
The lift is located in the middle of the storage units and is integrated into the building. Next to the lift is a staircase to the first floor. The doors align with the floor, allowing users to drive in and out easily.
Due to the layout of the buildings, a second, narrower lift was added with the same lifting capacity. Users transport their goods to the units further away via a bridge.

04 · CABIN AND OPERATION
A cabin, but for goods only
The lifts are not intended for people, but they do have a cabin with double doors and lighting. The color contrast allows the user to see exactly where the goods should be placed.
The buttons only work once the lift has been released via the app. After a one-time explanation, the lift is easy to use.

The goods lifts in use
First floor
There is a staircase next to the lift. Space has been kept clear on the floor for easy loading and unloading of goods.
Double doors
An inner door and an outer door, both made of steel. This prevents anyone from accidentally placing items next to the platform.
Always accessible
Tenants use the lift whenever they want. Only storage unit owners can operate the lift.
Upper floor
From the lift, users take their goods to the storage units on the floor.

The controls next to the door only work once the lift has been released via the app.

Yes. At Speicher Box, tenants use the lift themselves. A link with a mobile app ensures that only storage unit owners can operate the lift.
