Four goods lifts for Frigo's refrigerated and freezer terminal
For Frigo's new refrigerated and freezer terminal, Hublift supplied four 5,000 kg goods lifts. They transport heavy loads and forklifts over 8.5 m to the upper floor, even with significant temperature differences.

02 · THE CHALLENGE
Forklifts upstairs, in a freezer warehouse
In the freezer warehouse, a huge number of pallets are loaded and unloaded every day. Employees work with forklifts and electric pallet trucks on the ground floor and the first floor.
The lifts had to operate under large temperature differences and fit within the available space. Ease of use, a stable platform, and reliability were decisive factors.

03 · THE SOLUTION
Four lifts, designed with the contractor
Together with the contractor, Hublift developed a lift based on an extensive set of requirements that perfectly matches the architect's design and Frigo's needs.
Each lift has two lifting columns, each with 2 lifting cylinders. This ensures the load is well distributed and the full lifting capacity is usable. The lifts are located in a concrete shaft with a lift pit and have a three-sided enclosed cabin.

04 · INSTALLATION
Installed during construction
Our technicians first installed the lifting columns in the concrete shaft. Then they built up the platform and the three-sided enclosed cabin.
The work was planned to cause as little disruption as possible while the rest of the building was also under construction. After testing, the lifts were handed over and put into use immediately.

Reliable transport in the cold
Frigo now moves large numbers of pallets between floors every day using forklifts and pallet trucks. The lifts are built for the conditions in a refrigerated and freezer terminal.
