3,000 kg goods lift with attendant for Lootens
Through Van Damme – Vandeputte Architecten, Hublift supplied a goods lift with attendant for the new building of Lootens in Nazareth-De Pinte (Belgium). The 3,000 kg through-loading lift was built into an existing concrete shaft, has high-speed roller doors on both sides and was approved by Vinçotte.

02 · THE CHALLENGE
Heavy goods to the upper floor, from two sides
In the new Lootens building, (heavy) goods had to be moved from the ground floor to the upper floor, over a height of 10 metres. The lift had to fit the existing concrete shaft, be accessible from two sides and be suitable for loading with electric pallet trucks.

03 · THE SOLUTION
A through-loading lift with high-speed roller doors on both sides
Hublift supplied a hydraulic goods lift with attendant with a capacity of 3,000 kg and a platform of 3,500 × 2,500 mm. The 8/9 mm steel platform is additionally reinforced for loading with electric pallet trucks. On both floors, electrically integrated high-speed roller doors of 3,500 × 3,000 mm are fitted on two sides. Double door buttons let the user choose which door opens; the buttons have contacts for connection to the badge system.

04 · INSTALLATION AND INSPECTION
Built into the existing shaft, approved by Vinçotte
The lift was built into the existing concrete shaft of the new building. The control cabinet for the electrical and hydraulic components is located on the ground floor, within 2 metres of the lift. Vinçotte inspected the lift prior to commissioning in accordance with Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC and approved it for use.

06 · THE RESULT
Heavy goods safely to the upper floor
Lootens now moves (heavy) goods safely from the ground floor to the upper floor, with the option for an employee to ride along. The through-loading lift is accessible from two sides and approved by Vinçotte.
