To accommodate future growth, TRL Fulfilment<\/a><\/strong> moved into a new building. For this, Hublift delivered a goods lift with self-supporting shaft, fully integrated into the mezzanine, in cooperation with Dexion<\/a><\/strong>. <\/p>\n

The incoming goods are delivered on pallets and then stored in the pallet racks or moved to the right floor on the mezzanine by means of the goods lift<\/a>. The goods lift has a capacity of 1000kg and offers space for 2 (block) pallets, which can be placed side by side in the lift. <\/p>\n

The total lifting height of the lift<\/a> is over 9m over 3 stops. To ensure stability and prevent uncontrolled movement of the platform, the platform is equipped with electronic locking pins. This ensures that the platform is locked on the floor during loading and unloading of the lift. In addition, it prevents any kind of movement of the platform. By working closely with Dexion<\/a><\/strong>, Hublift is able to completely integrate the lift and the self-supporting steel shaft into the mezzanine and racking. <\/p>\n

A request was made by TRL Fulfilment for a new building in the Netherlands for a goods lift in a completely enclosed self-supporting shaft. The design had to take into account the available space and the racking and mezzanine floors to be built. <\/p>\n

The building is used by various employees who move goods with pallet trucks on both the ground and upper floors. To achieve the flow of goods between the floors, a goods lift had to be realized. Also, reliability was very important, since the lift. After visiting a reference customer of Hublift and consulting with Dexion, the right solution was designed. <\/p>\n

Design<\/h2>\n

During the design phase, much contact was made with the racking manufacturer’s engineers to determine the correct space for the lift. It was decided to integrate the lift at the front of the mezzanine<\/a> into the racking. The available space was determined in consultation with Hublift engineers. After studying the drawings, several contacts were made with the client and the rack builder during the construction phase to verify the dimensions. <\/p>\n

A design was finally chosen in which 2 pallets can be placed side by side on the platform. This allows users to easily and quickly load and unload pallets from the lift. By equipping the lift with 2 lifting columns and fencing around the platform, safety and optimal stability is guaranteed. Also thanks to the electronic locking pins, the platform is extra stable and free of movement when loading the lift on the floors. <\/p>\n

The doors can take a beating and are easy for users to open. Despite the weight and thickness of the doors, any user of the lift can open them easily. Also, the windows in the doors ensure that the goods in the lift can be seen at any time. <\/p>\n

Installation<\/h2>\n

The lift consists of several heavy components. These are installed in the right place with a chain hoist attached to the roof. By working with a limited number of parts, movement of the shaft is prevented. This creates a solid shaft that can easily carry the 1000kg lifting capacity. <\/p>\n

The installation of a lift of this size takes a total of just over a week. After the lift is installed, thorough tests are performed and all electronic components of the lift are tested. Safety of the lift is paramount at Hublift. After we are 100% sure of the safety and operation of the lift, it is delivered to the customer. The lift was then immediately put into operation as the relocation of goods from the old building began. <\/p>\n
